My DEAR Book - The Goblin’s Toyshop by Enid Blyton

Deepti Arora- X A

I read this book titled “The Goblin’s Toyshop”, the very first day I got it issued by my school library. Reading such a book with various stories full of fantasy and charm was fun. When I read the very first tale of this book, I got lost in the world of pixies and fairytales so much that I could not stop myself from reading half of the book in just one day!. It was an intense pleasure to read this book and each tale had its own moral to it. By reading this book, I learned why it is always said that a reader lives a thousand lives. It indeed is true in every manner! I think we all must read a book or two in a year excluding our textbooks because it is not just about scoring grades but about gaining knowledge and skills that a book gives us. Apart from all this, the book has given me numerous lessons to understand and work on. There was a tale named “The Peculiar Boots” in which a boy used to be active and fast and he just could not cope with the elder people who took time to walk a specific distance, he always quarreled with the elder people about their walking problem. But one day, a dame teaches him an important lesson and makes him feel the same pain that the elderly people used to have, and then finally he understands and feels shameful of the acts that he had performed to disgrace the other old fellows. After reading the whole text, I got to know about how we should not disgrace our elders who have a specific demerit due to which they get to be stared at! To conclude the review, I would certainly look forward to getting this book read and understood by all other people as well and I really hope that this book review will help them do so!

Thank you!
